The causes and prevention of wrinkling on the flange of deep drawn parts during the drawing process.

The edge pressing force at the flange is too small to resist excessive tangential compressive stress and cause tangential deformation, resulting in the formation of wrinkles after losing stability. Thin materials are also prone to wrinkles.

Increase the pressure on the edge ring and appropriately increase the thickness of the material.

Reasons and prevention of wall cracking in deep drawn parts.

1. The radial tensile stress that the material bears during deep drawing is too large.

2. The fillet radius of the concave mold is too small.

3. Poor lubrication during deep drawing.

4. Poor plasticity of raw materials.

1. Reduce the edge pressing force.

2. Increase the fillet radius of the concave mold.

3. Correct use of lubricants.

4. Choose materials with better quality or increase the annealing process in the workshop.

The bottom of the deep drawn part is pulled apart.

The fillet radius of the concave mold is too small, causing the material to be in a cut state.

It usually occurs in the initial stage of deep drawing, increasing the fillet radius of the concave die and making it smooth. The surface roughness should be generally Ra<0.2 µm.
