1. Drilling
Use the corresponding standard drill bit to drill according to different specifications. The drilling depth is greater than or equal to the steel wire.
The installation depth of the thread sleeve; be careful not to drill the hole into a tapered shape and do not allow chips to fall in. The countersinking depth after drilling should not exceed 0.4 pitch depth, because too large a countersinking hole is not conducive to screwing in the wire thread insert.
2. Tapping
Use special taps for wire thread inserts marked with specified thread specifications for tapping. The length of the tapping must exceed
The length of the wire thread insert must be fully tapped for through holes; the accuracy of tapping determines the tolerance zone of the final standard internal threaded hole. The user must appropriately select the tapping method and lubrication. When tapping blind holes, appropriate force must be used to prevent break off the tap. After tapping, the threaded holes should be cleaned, usually with a compressed air spray gun. For blind holes, a long spray with radial holes should be used to clean from bottom to top. The threaded holes can also be cleaned by cleaning. When the precision of the threaded hole is high, a special wire screw sleeve bottom hole plug gauge should be used for inspection.
3.Installation
Under normal circumstances, a manual installer should be used for installation of wire thread inserts. Place the wire thread insert into the installation tool, insert the installation handle into the guide rod groove, and rotate the installation tool handle to screw the wire thread insert into the screw hole, leaving 0.25-0.75 empty threads from the surface. When installing a small amount of wire thread inserts and when installing coarse-thread wire thread inserts above M14×2, you can use "T"-shaped slotting or threaded head simple tools to install, and be careful not to exert large axial force on the installation handle of the wire thread inserts. To prevent "random deductions". After the wire thread insert is installed, in order to check the accuracy level of the standard internal thread hole formed, the corresponding level plug gauge can be used for inspection.
4. Remove the handle
For wire thread inserts with break grooves, the mounting handle should be removed after screwing into the screw hole, and a handle removal tool is required. When making a through hole, you need to break the installation handle of the wire thread insert. Generally, use a punch to align the installation handle, and hit it hard with a hammer of about 200g to remove it. For coarse-thread wire thread inserts above M18×2.5 and fine-thread steel wire thread inserts of M14 Then remove the broken mounting handle from the screw hole. Note: If you use an automatic punching device, you only need to use the punch of the automatic punching device to press the wire thread insert installed in the bottom hole with appropriate force to punch off the installation handle.
5. Disassembly
Insert the tip of the remover into the thread sleeve hole, press the handle firmly, and rotate counterclockwise to remove the wire thread sleeve.
